This document contains the official rules and guidelines originally set up by the founders of The Ville Regulars (TVR) and amended over the years by the leadership. This document attempts to cover all issues regarding TVR and exists to maintain order and peace within the membership. The leadership, through proper means, will handle any disagreements or disputes regarding the contents of this document. The layout of this document is only for the purposes of organization and emphasis of the content.
Official Rules and Guidelines
- Group Description
- The Ville Regulars is a group of individuals who are regular players and supporters of TheVille. All members show their support for the community either by contributing in some way or by being a model citizen. The goal is to unite the regulars of TheVille to help maintain and improve the overall quality of the community.
- The Ville Regulars is a private, non-competitive group based in TheVille.org Gaming Community.
- The group tag appears as .TVR at the end of the player name.
- Member Qualities
- All members must be active in TheVille community. Members must actively participate in the forums as well as regularly play on the servers.
- All members must abide by TheVille rules at all times. Members who fail to do so will be subject to review by the leadership, possibly resulting in removal from the guild.
- All members must maintain a positive attitude and good sportsmanship while in game and in the forums.
- All members must be respectful to other members and others in the community.
- All members must be team players in game and should not be concerned with player statistics.
- Membership Structure and Member Status
- The membership falls under 5 (five) distinct groups:
- Leader: A select few of the membership designated to maintain the group and to make decisions. The leadership is in charge of official policies, addition and removal of leaders, approval of potential recruits, and removal of problem members.
- Active Member: Any active member who is not currently a member of the leadership.
- Inactive Member: Any member who has been inactive for at least 2 (two) months.
- Retired Member: Any former member who is no longer active in the group.
- Recruit: Potential member currently in the trial period for new recruits.
- Members who are determined to be inactive for longer than 2 (two) months will be dropped to inactive status.
- Members who are on the inactive list for longer than 6 (six) months, without notification, will be dropped to retired status.
- The membership falls under 5 (five) distinct groups:
- Recruitment
- Potential recruits must fit the following requirements to be considered:
- Must be active at TheVille for at least 30 (thirty) days prior to recruitment
- Must be registered on TheVille forums and must have at least 1 (one) post
- Must abide by the member qualities listed in Section II
- The following limits are placed on recruitment:
- Limit 2 (two) recruits total accepted per month
- Any active member may suggest a potential recruit. The sponsor must submit the potential recruit to the leadership for approval. After unanimous approval by the leadership via a poll in the designated recruitment forum, an invitation is sent to the recruit via private message. If the subject accepts the invite, he or she is accepted as a recruit. After a trial period of 7 (seven) days, the recruit is promoted to full membership status.
- Potential recruits must fit the following requirements to be considered:
- Group Activities
- General group activities include games on TheVille servers, TheVille based special events, meetings, and other group wide activities; and they may be planned by any member or outsider. All active members may participate in these activities unless otherwise stated.
- TVR will not engage in activities involving serious competition. Members involved in competitions outside of TheVille organized events should bring them to the attention of the leadership before participating.
- Meetings may occur as needed and are planned by the leadership. Meetings may occur in the TVR Steam Community chat, TheVille TeamSpeak server, or any game server. Meetings should be announced at least 5 (five) days prior to the actual meeting date. For votes to take place, there must be at least 6 (six) members present at the time of voting.
- General group activities include games on TheVille servers, TheVille based special events, meetings, and other group wide activities; and they may be planned by any member or outsider. All active members may participate in these activities unless otherwise stated.
- Votes
- General rules on votes:
- Leadership votes must be unanimous.
- Membership votes are based on 75% majority of voting members.
- Votes that occur in a forum must be presented for at least 5 (five) days prior to counting. See Section V, Part B for rules for votes during meetings.
- Matters concerning changes in the rules and policies must be voted on by the leadership and must be for the good of the entire membership. Polls may be used as necessary to determine the needs of the membership in order to come to an informed decision.
- Matters concerning the removal of members or the changes in status between active and inactive must be voted on by the leadership.
- The leadership may run leadership and/or membership votes as needed.
- An active member may propose a vote upon approval by the leadership.
